Its now less than 2 days to the start of the Olympics. Didn’t manage to get tickets? Don’t worry. Lewisham has its own “Live Site” Blackheath where you can watch all the key events on the big screen or try some sporting activities yourself. There are lots of things going on and you read about them here.
Lots of Lewisham folk are involved in the Olympics in different ways and I will try to highlight some of them here. The first is Jay Osgerby who lives in Brockley and who designed the Olympic Torch. Jay was at the start of the Torch Relay on Monday and told me the fascinating story of how the torch was designed. You can learn more about the torch and see an interview with Jay here .
